I am so excited that I have 100% of my funds. A goal I have been working towards, not just for the past ten months, but for years now, is about to come into fruition. My joy and excitement is barely containable. But the stress is just as high. I am enjoying my time with family and friends, but the profound sadness of knowing I will not see them for years is difficult to handle. I will miss important events in their lives. Also, how does one pack for two years? It is difficult to organize, plan and pack all that I will need or at least think I need.
I think the biggest worry on my mind though, is will I do a good job? Will God be glorified through me and in me? Will the lives of the girls in Stella's House II be impacted? Will I be a good team member? This is something that I can't know until I am in the middle of it. So for the next week and a half, I will simply prepare one day at a time. And asking you all to pray for me and with me. Thanks so much!

On The Path
I have had the privilege this past month to be a part of something new at Assemblies of God World Missions. On the Path is a new ministry at AGWM designed to get people "from the call to the field." It is a group of people mobilizing missionaries, short-term or long. I have been to two public relations events, handing out promotional material and talking to young adults about their options to serve in mission. It has been a blast.
Last week I spent five days in Arizona at the Master's Commission Conference. We got to encourage young people in their future, their call and ultimately serving God. I had opportunities to pray with people, encourage and instruct. Our group of five was fun also. We ate out, played dice games and even ventured up to the Grand Canyon. It was a time of refreshing and renewal.

Saddest Place on Earth
Twice in the past week I have read that Moldova is the "saddest place on earth." Why is this? One author writes: "Moldovans are truly miserable. It’s a relatively poor country on the edge of a rich neighborhood, and that’s Europe. Once they had the pride of being part of the Soviet empire, and now they’re not part of anything." Moldovans can see their future and it is not exciting. There are no resources to help boost their economy and alcoholism runs rampant. Human trafficking, poverty, drug abuse and child abandonment are just a few of the problems keeping these people sad. What is the solution?
God's Kingdom. May it be established in Moldova, despite the issues. That is my role there. To be an announcer of God's kingdom. To proclaim rest for the weary and freedom for the captives. Thanks to so many of you who are a part of this work. Keep praying that the joy of Christ will permeate Moldova.

Pastor Vlodia
I had the joy and privilege of living and working with Pastor Vlodia in the Moldovan village of Crasnoarmascoe. His two daughters, son and wife were all extremely welcoming. They put out their best for me and showed me around their village with pride. I enjoyed spending my days with them as we planned summer camp for the local youth. We rode horses, picked beans off the vine and played soccer. Pastor Vlodia insisted that I sing some worship songs in English at the Wednesday night church service, despite my urgings that I am a poor singer.
He was proud to introduce me to his parish. He showed me the new church they were building, and the shed they were creating for children's church and a feeding program for those in need in the area. These past two years he has been working with missionary Andy Raatz and they were about to embark on a community transformation and development project.
A few days ago Andy called and Vlodia's wife answered in tears. There was an accident as Vlodia was fixing his well. He died.
Pastor Vlodia, I have no doubt, is in heaven with Jesus. Do not mourn for him, he is in a far better place. But mourn for his widow, for his three children and grandchild. Mourn for his church and the community of Crasnoarmascoe, who lost a great man of faith and action. And mourn for Moldova- for having one less man of God to bring hope to its people. Pray for them and pray for Moldova, that God would raise up workers to take over where Pastor Vlodia left off.

In God's Timing
Dear Family and Friends,
I am so blessed with the way people have been encouraging me and partnering with me as I prepare for Moldova. These past few Sundays have been busy with sharing about Moldova in different churches. I have received a lot of good responses. Four churches have decided to partner with me though prayer and one-time or monthly support. Thanks so much to the Stillwater Church, Valley Christian Assembly, Bethany Christian Assembly and my home church: The Duvall Church. May God use us to affect change in Moldova and around the world.
Its hard to know how my finances are looking because each gift or pledge takes time to process. I should have a better idea in the next few weeks of what else needs to be done before I can leave. I am looking forward to joining my team in Moldova: The Raatz Family (Andy, Nancy, Elissa, Natalie and Lauren) The Darrins (Troy, Heidi and Heather) Shauna (teacher for the missionary kids) and Corrina (Technical Services). Pray for unity among us.
Some of you may be aware that there is a situation with living permits in Moldova and the Raatz Family (left). Moldova has become home to this wonderful missionary family over the past few years. The five of them, along with Shauna, are in the country right now beginning new projects. But Moldova, like many developing countries in the world, is constantly changing its laws. Although no visas are needed to visit the country, a living permit is now needed to stay. After hours of paper work, meetings and lots of prayer, the Raatzs, except for Andy, are all being denied their living permits. On Thursday they all must leave the country of Moldova and their home for three months. Their schooling is interrupted, they must be away for Christmas and the work on the home for trafficked will be delayed. The family is heading to Kiev to stay with friends. Andy will come back to Moldova for two weeks and do his best to get the permits before the family makes any permanent decisions. Please pray for the Raatz family that God's will would be done. Also, I am not sure how this will affect my leaving in the near future. I will continue praying for and raising up partners here until my budget is met and some more definitive decisions are made.

The Week of November 5th!
The week of November 5th is my next projected leave date. Its just over a month away and I have a lot of accomplish before I can leave the country. I need to raise the rest of my funds and find more churches to partner with. Once all funds are raised I need clearance from the Assemblies of God to buy my ticket. I am also waiting for my last document that I need to get a living permit in Moldova. I serve a sovereign God and I know that He knows whats best for me. So, I submit all my plans to Him.
One exciting thing is that we found an apartment. There will be two other girls living with me in Moldova. Shauna is there now, spending a year teaching the missionary kids. Corrina is going about the same time as I am and will do tech work and teach the missionary kids after Shauna. Our apartment sounds great. Shauna says it has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It should be easy for the three of us to handle financially and shouldn't be a problem once Shauna leaves and Corrina and I are there together. I am excited. It is important to integrate into Moldova society and build relationships with others. There is also something for having a safe haven to eat peanut butter and watch The Office. We hope for the apartment to be warm and welcoming and I hope that I get to move there in five weeks time.

Preparation
Dear Family and Friends,
I am now in full preparation for my trip to Moldova. I hope to leave in about two months. For now I am finishing things up at work, helping my family sell their home and am fundraising. Thank so much to everybody who is supporting me in so many ways. People are praying, the Duvall High School youth is helping buy things like socks, medicine and other needs and others are supporting monthly. Praise the Lord. I now have 36% of my initial budget and 4% of my monthly pledges. God will provide...he always does. If you want to support simply fill out the form provided in my blog titled "Support Sara."
Here are some prayer requests:
1. For all the transitions going on in my family right now.
2. I am a live-in nanny and will be leaving the position in a month. Pray for the transition for the children. I have been there a year and this will be a big change.
3. For my preparation emotionally, spiritually and financially.
